Kitchen 49 is the culinary division of the Red Deer Food Bank, bringing people together through great food while helping support our neighbors facing food insecurity.
From catering and special events to cooking classes, kitchen rentals, and our three food trucks, every service we provide has a purpose. Every booking, every class registration, and every purchase made at one of our food trucks directly supports the work of the Red Deer Food Bank and helps ensure individuals and families in Central Alberta have access to nutritious food and vital support services.

Food Trucks
Our Food Trucks have a variety of options including ice cream, burgers, poutines, and fried foods such as cinnamon donuts, smoked meats & brisket.
Cooking Classes
Hands-on culinary experiences hosted at the Red Deer Food Bank. Each class is led by our chef and includes a full menu of dishes to prepare and enjoy.

No matter the type of event, our culinary team of Red Seal Chefs wants to help you plan and cater delicious and nourishing meals for your guests.

Kitchen Rental
Our teaching kitchen is available to rent for parties, cooking classes, corporate cooking, and batch cooking. The kitchen is AHS certified and does require a food safety certified person to be present.
When renting this kitchen, you will have access to the entire space, including the stoves, ovens, all equipment, and utensils, as well as the limited storage space, if requested and available.
