The 2026 Canada’s Food Price Report marks the 16th edition of this annual publication. This report is produced by Dalhousie University in collaboration with other universities across Canada, enriching the report's scope and regional expertise.
The report provides readers with predictions on estimated annual food expenditures for individual consumers based on their age and gender. This allows readers to predict their annual food expenditures based on the consumption of their household.

Bring a monetary or non-perishable food donation with you and support the food bank as stock is running low again.
Summer is no picnic for many families in Red Deer and Central Alberta. Help us bring everyone to the table this summer. Donations are especially welcome in our warm weather months to support our work to alleviate hunger in the community.
Summer Camp students to build potato boxes for Food Bank
Red Deer Polytechnic is partnering with local trade professionals, schools and organizations to support youth interest in the construction industry, to the benefit of the Red Deer Food Bank.
Food Bank hosts Open House
In conjunction with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ city-wide food drive, the Red Deer Food Bank is opening its doors for another Open House on Saturday, May 24 beginning at 11 am. Self-guided or staff-led tours, food and ice cream, and Q&A times are available for those interested in learning more about how the Food Bank is working to alleviate hunger in our community.

The Kiwanis Club of Red Deer is hosting a new FUNdraiser for the Food Bank… a Grocery Gift Card SURVIVOR game! Running November 1 - December 13, with eliminations December 15 - 17 and final draw happening December 18 at JD’s Bar & Grill!
